Every fed on the net has a set of rules or guidelines. Be sure to follow them....
Joining XWF
First, read these set of rules. Second, fill out the application. Third, attach your trial roleplay. And last, sit tight!
You'll be notified if you've been accepted.
NEW MEMBERS
-We have a trial period which basically requires that you just roleplay and show your going to stick around (this is normally
in the form of our 'trial challenge', which happens on each show). Once you surpass the trial period, management will determine
a fair contract for your character. Also to note, bio's are NOT added to the roster until you surpass your trial period. IF
you fail to pass the trial challenge, don't fret cus we allow you a second chance on the next show.
-Once accepted, new members will begin in a dark match (or two) depending their performance. This is simply for us to
get a feel for you, and your character, and to once again make sure you are dedicated to sticking around before we through
you into angles/feuds and storylines etc. DO NOT get discouraged, we do this for ALL members AND for our own safety to prevent
new members from joining up and being thrown into a planned out angle, and them ditching out (this isn't saying YOU will do
this, but it happens).
-In most cases, after an event or two (or more, depending your talent) you will be involved in some form of an angle and
getting proper attention. BUT also be noted that we reserve the right to withhold members from angles or feuds until we see
right to place them into the fire. Just remember, as long as you consistantly roleplay, good things will come!
OOC Discussion:
Positively no FLAMING! PERIOD! We're not about having members put others down. THis will be dealt with accordingly (voting
by staff, voting by the fed members, etc)
No links. No advertising PERIOD. This is an automatic firing or suspension without prior permission.
Please DON'T ask the owners if you are "winning so far" or if your the better roleplayer, this gets annoying
and will end up discouraging your character in the long run. Also do NOT ask the owner "what did you think of my roleplay?".
My appreciation towards your work will be rewarded in results.
No OOC messages on the RP Boards! Plain and simple!
The owner and staff reserve the right to delete/censor any post seen necassary w/o notification. So if your post has disappeared,
there was a valid reason for it.
ROLEPLAYING:
General Information:
All roleplays are considered for future reference. Even if your not on the card, roleplaying will get you noticed QUICK.
All roleplays posted will be considered towards the present, but also the future! So keep up that roleplaying, it pays off
here in the XWF!
If roleplaying for a time period is impossible, be sure to leave a message in the Sticky Notes section. Lack of making
a notice of your absence there WILL result in JOBBING of your character.
No usage of other fighters or property of the other fighters without that handlers permission. Breaking this rule is an
automatic loss or deletion of the thread.
Roleplay all you like. I'm not going to tell you what you have to roleplay about or how to roleplay, BUT keep it realistic.
And PLEASE, check your spelling and grammer!
And lastly, NO LINKING TO A WEBSITE...ROLEPLAY ON OUR BOARDS, THAT'S WHAT THEY ARE THERE FOR! Thank you!
Dead Lines:
The deadline for the show will ALWAYS be posted on the card. Also, keep it fair and don't post multiple roleplay's in
one day just before the deadline (We highly discourage sandbagging and will ALWAYS lessen your chances of winning). Give your
opponent the chance to defend himself. Waiting to roleplay up till a few hours till the deadline doesnt give your oponnent
something to work with. This too will be taken into consideration when the match winner will be decided.
WRESTLERS (Created ONLY) Male & Female:
Characters:
Height Limits: No Smaller Then 5'6" (men) & 5'1" (women)
No Taller Then 7'
Weight Limits: No Lighter Then 130 lbs (men) & 100 lbs (women)
No Heavier Then 510 lbs
I put these limits up not to detract from you're creative ideas, but to keep the XWF as realistic as possible. You won't
ever see a 4'10" mini-wrestler powerbombing someone who's 7'11" in real life. That brings me to another point: Keep
you're wrestler's height and weight in proportion as much as possible. Don't have a wrestler who's 6'10 weigh 150 lb., or
a wrestler standing at 5'8" weighing 500 lb. Remember, we want to keep this as realistic as possible.
Once again, when choosing moves, try to keep it realistic. Try to pick moves that correspond with your wrestler's height,
weight, and style. You won't see a 7' 450 lb. wrestler launching off the top rope with a Shooting Star Press. Nor will you
see a 5'3" wrestler use a Gorilla Press Slam.
RESULTS:
Do NOT complain about a loss or an angle you don't like. If you start to complain on the boards, your post deleted. Constant
whining not only will degrade you and your character, but will also get you jobbed or fired, just don't do it!
Enjoy the results, we work hard on them!
Match Booking:
Matches can be requested by wrestlers, but it will be the owners say if that request becomes fulfilled and this should
NOT be questioned!
The better roleplayer will almost ALWAYS win the match. Of course, if there is a change in process, things can change,
but it will ALWAYS be for the better.
Do NOT question the outcome of a match, move on or you'll move down!
Titles:
Contendership for our titles is ranked according to whom the owners feel displayed the most dedication to the XWF, along
with who has beaten who to move up.
We will always reserve the right to strip someone of a title for any reason necassary and without notice of the current
champion.
A title may NOT always change hands due to someone producing better roleplay work. This is solely upon the current angle
in place.
Also to note, we have a ranking system here, be sure to follow it! The booking crew reserves the right to move wrestlers
up and down the ranks as they feel necessary.
Storylines/Angles:
Wrestlers are always allowed to submit there own angle/storyline dieas, but that does NOT mean they will always be used!
Ignoring, or not running with a current angle will result in a J.O.B. for yourself during the state of it's course.
Feel free to discuss angles with us, we are open to ideas, but dont feel let down if we dont accept your ideas.
Last Rule:
Have some fun and enjoy the XWF, we are glad to have you
